Partners in Prevention
Many organizations are dedicated to preventing fires, saving lives, and education. Each offers important experience, perspective, and capabilities in the quest to improve the nation’s fire safety. Each strives to serve the community.

NIFAST has emerged from a combination of dedicated fire safety industry professionals, and will continue to harness the power of influential industry participants and experts to advance common missions. Over time we expect to establish collaborative relationships with many others in the fire safety industry for the purpose of expanding our reach and strengthening our product and service offerings.

What brings us together? Overcoming this fact: lack of knowledge = lives lost. Across the nation, there is a distinct lack of fire safety education. Municipalities and educational institutions have failed to educate the general public, which has a poor overall attitude toward fire safety. Most do not know how to evacuate a burning building or how to treat a burn injury. Collaboration enables us all to serve common objectives more effectively. Chief among those objectives is producing self-reliant citizens capable of protecting themselves and others in fire emergencies.

Through our blog, we will highlight many of our community partners as our program matures. Below are a few that we would especially like to recognize.

ABCO Fire Protection, Inc. – ABCO is a regional fire equipment distributor and fire safety service organization operating in Ohio and its contiguous states, with numerous national contracts. It is focused on providing consumers and businesses with the tools to be fire safe.– An Ohio based non-profit organization (501c3) devoted to making fire safety education and life saving tools available on a broad basis to communities, campuses, and institutions.
